Competition/Antitrust

We provide legal services related to the Anti-monopoly Act, the Subcontract Act, and the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations. Specifically, we handle business combination notifications to the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) and consultations, examination and adjudication cases at the JFTC, surcharge exemption applications, negotiation cases and civil lawsuits related to the Anti-monopoly Act, as well as criminal cases. In addition to providing such legal services, we provide advice on corporate strategies related to licensing, distribution, corporate alliances from the standpoint of the Anti-monopoly Act, and assist in the construction and operation of compliance systems.
