Introduction and Practice Profile

Yui Hatanaka is an attorney at our firm based in the Tokyo office. She is a member of the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association. While her practice particularly focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, she also advises clients across a broad range of matters in response to their diverse legal and business needs, including corporate governance, M&A, intellectual property, labour and employment, AI and technology law, debt collection, antitrust, corporate misconduct and compliance, international transactions, consumer-related matters, and criminal cases.

As a legal professional, Yui is committed to helping clients achieve their objectives in every engagement. Rather than focusing only on what may be legally impermissible, she strives to identify how legal requirements can be reconciled with business goals, and approaches problem-solving with creativity, persistence, and a practical mindset.

She also places great importance on communicating in terms that are easy for clients to understand, and is committed to providing advice that is clear, careful, and accessible. She welcomes consultations on matters of any nature.

A native speaker of Japanese, Yui is also highly proficient in English and is able to communicate effectively with clients and counterparties in cross-border matters.
