Introduction and Practice Profile

Yoshito Fujikawa is a senior partner at our firm, based in the Osaka office and frequently practicing from the Tokyo office. He is a member of the Osaka Bar Association and is also a registered Patent Attorney (*Benrishi*). Yoshito specializes in intellectual property law, litigation, and IP strategy.

Yoshito's practice areas encompass a wide range of services, including IP negotiations, dispute resolution, international IP matters, and IP-related contracts. He also handles corporate governance and international transactions. He graduated from Waseda University, Faculty of Law in 1993 and was admitted to the bar in 1995. To further enhance his technical expertise, he earned a degree in Applied Biology from the Kyoto Institute of Technology in 2005, providing him with a strong background in biotechnology and chemistry.

Yoshito has held numerous leadership positions, having served as the Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Center of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations (JFBA) from 2025 to 2026. He previously served as the Vice President of the Osaka Bar Association and the Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Osaka Bar Association. In the academic sphere, he has dedicated many years to teaching as a professor, visiting professor, or part-time lecturer at institutions such as Kyoto University Law School, Doshisha University Law School, and Kyoto Sangyo University. He also serves as an outside corporate auditor for prominent listed companies. His exceptional expertise is recognized internationally; since 2010, he has been consistently ranked in *Best Lawyers* for Intellectual Property Law and Litigation.
