Introduction and Practice Profile

Masanori Kakugawa is an attorney-at-law at our firm, having joined in 2020. He has gained extensive experience in a broad range of matters, including litigation and dispute resolution for both corporate and individual clients.

He has also worked with IT companies and startups, where he focused primarily on personal data and data protection, as well as enhancing internal legal functions. In addition, he gained international experience at a local law firm in Austria, where he was involved in matters relating to data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as emerging legal frameworks concerning artificial intelligence.

In the field of personal data and data protection, regulatory frameworks are rapidly evolving and becoming increasingly stringent both domestically and internationally. In light of the growing complexity in understanding and addressing these regulations and associated risks, Masanori strives to provide practical and clear legal advice tailored to each client's needs.
